Due to the lower than average test scores on the latest science and math tests, I have made some adjustments that I feel will be of benefit for all involved.
I have reformatted the science test and am asking the students to study once again tonight for a retest tomorrow. The students will receive the better of the two scores.
Additionally, I scrapped the math test and am, instead, giving the students an in-class / take-home graded assignment. It will be coming home with them tonight. It is my hope that these changes will lead to a more accurate reflection of the students' knowledge and skills.
